Ballot Question Update

Forty-two proposed laws for the November 2026 ballot were submitted to the Attorney General for certification by September 3. The first signature threshold requires 74,574 signatures, with no more than 18,643 from any one county, to be submitted to the local registrars of voters for certification of signatures by November 19. Successful petitions are transferred to the Legislature on January 7. LWVMA will issue guidance on the ballot questions when signatures have been certified and the questions are moving forward.
