Criminal Legal System bills lobby days Apr 15 and Apr 23

A lobby day Tuesday, April 15 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM in Room 222 of the State House will include two of our priority bills: An act relative to elder and medical parole (S1722/H2693) and An Act relative to human rights and improved outcomes for incarcerated people (S1651/H2608). The event is sponsored by Families for Justice as Healing (FJAH) and five other advocacy groups. Register HERE.

A lobby day Wednesday, April 23 at 10:00 AM in Room 437 of the State House will focus on An Act to reduce mass incarceration (S1178/H2052), which will give all incarcerated people the opportunity for a parole hearing after serving 25 years of their sentence and promote restorative justice. This event will be sponsored by the Campaign to End Life Without Parole (CELWOP). Check League Leaders email updates for registration information.
