Congratulations to our Falmouth Road Race Runners!

Falmlouth Road Race co-captains Misty Niemeyer and Chinna Mapp of LWV Falmouth and Susan d. Garvey of LWVMA are pleased to announce that our running team raised funds and trained for the hills of Falmouth to finish the 7-mile race in style on August 18th.

Festivities began on Saturday afternoon at Misty’s. She hosted the pre-event welcome party at her home for our runners and their families and friends. It was a wonderful way for our runners to bond prior to the race. LWVMA Executive Director Pattye Comfort presented each runner with a thank-you poster and the official Falmouth 2024 Road Race pin as a keepsake.

It was a picture-perfect day for the race on Sunday with lower temperatures and clouds. Over 12,000 runners ran through the seaside course which featured an international field of runners ranging from Olympians to recreational runners. Many charities were present at the finish line, including LWVMA and LWV Falmouth, where music, food, and beverages were on hand. Kudos to the ASICS Falmouth Race organizers for providing a fabulous 52nd race to remember.

Many thanks to all of you who supported our team. We are just shy of our $12,500 goal and the fundraising doesn’t close until September 30. If you could give what you can to help our team get on top of the hill, we would all appreciate it. Click HERE to support our team.
