Weaponizing the System: How Abusive Litigation Harms Women

On Tuesday, August 19 at we heard from women who have experienced the devastating consequences of abusive litigation in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. Abusive litigation is defined as using the Court system to maintain contact, to harass, abuse, and control their victim. We learned how the pending Abusive Litigation bill (H.1594/S.1205) educates judges, lawyers, and parties on the marks of abusive litigation and provides judges with the tools to combat it. This event was not recorded due to its sensitive nature but slides will be available soon. Read our testimony in support of the bill HERE.
