Local League Election Needs & Candidate Forums

As Leagues across Massachusetts prepare for the upcoming primary election September 1, LWVMA is gathering information to help coordinate resources and support election-related activities throughout the Commonwealth. Your responses will help LWVMA prioritize resources, develop training and materials, and better support Leagues during the busy election season.

If your League plans to host a candidate forum this year, please complete our Candidate Forum Planning Form. We would like to know which races you plan to cover, your anticipated timeline, and any support from the state League that would help make your forum successful. Upcoming and recorded candidate forums will be shared on VOTE411. Please share your upcoming forums HERE as soon as they are scheduled.

Not sure if you should plan a candidate forum? Take a look at THIS spreadsheet to find contested State Representative and Senate races in your districts. NOTE: The spreadsheet lists both contested Sept. 1 primary races and contested Nov. 3 general election races.

We are also collecting feedback on broader election-related needs through a separate Election Needs Survey. If your League anticipates needing training, printed materials, ballot question education resources, VOTE411 support, voter engagement materials, or other election assistance, please let us know HERE.
