Local Member Connection & Engagement Campaign
Phonathon has a new look this year! Rebranded under the Local Member Connection & Engagement campaign, local Leagues are invited to work with the state League on our annual peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. Each election year, this campaign supports the state League in setting up VOTE411 for all state, federal, and county elections, including our ballot questions. This fundraising campaign is a simple, month-long initiative where 2 members of your local League make calls to other League members to connect and engage members in making an impact on democracy through donating to state and local initiatives.
This rebrand allows local Leagues to take ownership of their preferred fundraising initiative. Whether it’s supporting another local organization in your community, fundraising for election education, or creating scholarships for local students, participating local Leagues receive a minimum of 20% of the revenue they raise, with a chance to win a 25% revenue share by raising the most funds out of all participating Leagues. The state League provides you with all the tools you need to successfully participate, including a kickoff Zoom, phone, text, and email scripts, pledge sheets, and contact information. All you need to do is decide what your League would like to use the funding for, and a Leaguer in your community who will help you join in on the outreach!
