Open Meeting Law Update

Governor Healey signed H62, An Act relative to extending certain COVID-19 measures adopted during the state of emergency, on March 28, extending the COVID-era provisions of the open meeting law to June 30, 2027. This law allows public bodies to hold meetings virtually or in hybrid formats, and allows representative Town Meetings to be held with remote participation. LWVMA is working to permanently guarantee hybrid access to open meetings to ensure equitable access throughout all municipalities and types of meetings. Read the news article HERE.
