Eva Valentine has dedicated her professional and leadership talents to the League of Women Voters over the years. Eva first formed and served as president of the LWV of Greater Haverhill, joined the State Board as Treasurer and then was elected President of LWVMA in 2011.
With advanced degrees in marketing and organizational behavior from Babson College, and cross-cultural communication from Lesley University. Eva has worked in a variety of senior management positions. At US and foreign companies ranging from Honeywell and Estée Lauder to Revlon Overseas and Portfolio Resources Group, Eva has served in positions ranging from project manager and marketing/sales manager to vice-president of compliance. In 1999, she started a Registered Investment Advisory firm and has been a financial planner to this day.
Eva has applied her professional, team-oriented skills in unique ways to the benefit of her local communities over the years. For example, she developed a business model for the Merrimack River Watershed Association, and she served as president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) of Miami Fl. In 1989, she established and eventually served as president of the Haverhill Education Foundation serving the public schools of Haverhill.
Of Hispanic and Jewish ancestry, Eva grew up in Puerto Rico and is bilingual. She lived for some years in Madrid and while there, raised money through quilting, organized cultural tours for the American Women’s Club of Madrid, and also served as pack leader for the Cub Scouts of Madrid.
