Candidate Forum for the candidates for State Representative, 7th Hampden District

The LWV of Massachusetts, LWV Amherst, and LWV Worcester will hold a Candidate Forum for the candidates for State Representative, 7th Hampden District, at Petersham Town Hall, 1 South Main Street, Petersham, MA, 01366, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  The event is open to the public.  The building is handicap accessible. The 7th Hampden District is a new district effective January 2023.  The new district consists of seven towns in four counties.  The towns are Belchertown, Ludlow, New Salem, Pelham, Petersham, Shutesbury and Wendell.  The counties are Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Worcester.

Candidates are James “Chip” Harrington and Aaron Saunders.  Mr. Harrington is the Republican Party candidate.  Mr. Saunders is the Democratic Party candidate.  Early voting will be held October 22 – November 4 and polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 8.

Audience questions will be taken at the October 19 Candidate Forum.  Assisting with the event will be students of R.C. Mahar Regional School and the League of Women Voters of Amherst.
