In Memoriam: Virginia Navickas

All of us at the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts (LWVMA) wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and League colleagues around the state – especially to our friends in the League of Women Voters of the Worcester Area – on the passing of Virginia “Ginger” Navickas, a beloved member of our League community.  Ginger was a dynamic and thoughtful League leader whose counsel and advice many of us sought right up until the time of her passing.  In the words of LWVMA Executive Director, Pattye Comfort “Ginger was a caring, forward-thinking leader who I always enjoyed working with – her passing is a great loss for all of us.”

Ginger was an active League leader in Worcester.  She also served on the LWVMA board of directors for two years and had just been elected to an additional two-year term.  As a member of the LWVMA board, Ginger actively participated in the Development Committee and the Membership Committee and was instrumental in shaping the direction of both committees.

Her energy, can-do spirit and wise counsel will be greatly missed.
