1st Vice President | Local League: Marblehead

Kathy is in her second year of a two year term on the LWVMA Board as the First Vice President. Kathy enjoys learning about State League activities, sitting on the 100th Anniversary Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Legislative Action Committee. She has been a member of the LWV Marblehead since 1995, serving as co-president, newsletter editor, publicity chair, and legislative envoy; she has facilitated a gun safety group, a book group, and a current events program. At the state League level, she was co-chair of the Fiscal Policy Update Study Committee (2005- 8) and a member of the LWVMA Study Committee on Special Education (1998-2000). She has served on the Town of Marblehead’s Finance Committee and was elected twice to the School Committee. Kathy was trained as a cell and molecular biologist and appreciates data-informed approaches to problem- solving, a hallmark of the League.
