The 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the founding of the League of Women Voters of the United States and the Massachusetts League offers an opportunity for local Leagues to remember and learn from the past, showcase their accomplishments, increase appreciation for the mission of LWV, focus on current issues, and celebrate!

Please join us for the LWVMA 100th Anniversary Webinar Series in celebration of the League’s 100th birthday and centennial of women’s suffrage. The webinars are free and open to the public, and most will be recorded and available for viewing.

This toolkit suggests activities for local Leagues, presents projects by local Leagues, and provides resources.

The Suffrage Movement “Then and Now” Civics Education Toolkit
This Toolkit has a special focus on the civics education lessons that can be learned from the suffrage movement. Our intention is to provide teachers with resources that can supplement their teaching of the suffrage movement content standards appearing in the American History portions of the History and Social Science Curriculum Framework.
