Samantha’s mission as a student affairs professional is to empower students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to be change-makers in their communities. She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology. While at MCLA, her involvement in student government, sustainability efforts, equity initiatives, and the campus food pantry sparked her passion for student advocacy. Upon graduation from MCLA, she worked as a Campus Organizer for the Student PIRGs where she mobilized college students to run effective campaigns on a plethora of public interest issues such as youth voter engagement, food and housing insecurity, climate change, and college affordability. After this experience, she earned her M.Ed. in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University where she gained experiences in Civic Engagement, Inclusive Excellence, Student Engagement, and Research. Currently, she leads all voter engagement and political programming at Salem State University as the Assistant Director of the Frederick E. Berry Institute of Politics.
