The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts conducted its 2022 Council on June 11 via Zoom. Over 150 members representing 36 local Leagues attended the meeting.
One of the key events of Council was the election of Officers, Board, and Nominating Committee members. After the business meeting was adjourned, Ellen Clegg, former Editorial Page Editor of The Boston Globe, and Northeastern University Professor, Dan Kennedy discussed the collapse of community journalism and the path forward to ensure citizens have access to information.Â
