Sue Flicop has been a League member for over 10 years and has served as President, Co-President and member of the Steering Committee of the League of Women Voters of Newton over the last 8 years. Her particular focus has been on voter education and organizing Candidates’ Forums for Newton municipal elections and she has moderated candidates’ events for several other Massachusetts Leagues and communities. She has previously been a Board member of The Bostonian Society, Historic Newton, Newton at Home, and the Chestnut Hill Association, and has served as a volunteer for the Child Assault Prevention Program and a member of the Newton South School Council. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Sue also has an MBA from Northeastern University and did doctoral research at the University of Maryland at College Park. She currently works at the Boston College International Study Center as a Research Associate in Operations and Quality Control.
