Volunteer with LWVMA Committees

Seeking 3 volunteers to join the Membership Committee that meets on the second Monday of the month at 1:00 PM via Zoom. The Membership Committee provides ongoing support through technical and development assistance for local Leagues, in order to maintain and increase active membership. The committee discusses issues common to many local Leagues and recommends state-wide solutions to be implemented by LWVMA, as well as plans training events.

Seeking 2-3 volunteers for the Scharfman Grant Review Committee that meets virtually quarterly (Jan, April, June, Oct), The Scharfman Fund supports voter registration, education, engagement, and protection activities, and the grant committee discusses and evaluates the local League grant applications that are submitted each cycle.

Seeking a committee chair or two co-chairs. The Voter Engagement Committee meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30PM on Zoom. This committee is focused on two areas: supporting local Leagues with their voter service activities and leading statewide voter service activities that benefit voters throughout the state. Within these two levels, the committee’s work focuses on four areas: voter registration, voter education (including VOTE411 and candidate forums), voter turnout, and partnership building.
