New video premieres on Youtube early October 2026

With the all-important Congressional Mid-Term and Massachusetts State elections rapidly approaching, the LWVMA wants to ensure everyone’s VOTE is protected.  This program is divided into three segments, with each featuring a subject matter expert (SME):

Getting Ready to Vote –This segment covers what voters need to do before they get their ballot or head to the polls in Massachusetts, featuring Elizabeth Foster-Nolan, former LWVMA Board President and experienced candidate forum moderator. A former social worker, she earned her JD from Duquesne University School of Law and went on to lead professional development at an AmLaw 200 Boston law firm. She has also chaired LWVMA’s DEI Committee and Moderator Training Sub-Committee.

It’s Voting Day – This segment focuses on voting day and features Needham’s Town Clerk Louise Miller.  In her role as the town’s Chief Election Official, she oversees all aspects of National, State, and Local elections by directing the preparation of ballots, polling places, voting equipment, and voter lists; certifies nomination papers and initiative petitions.

Your Vote is Safe & Secure –  Given the challenges being put forward by federal officials and other concerns that voters may have, we address those concerns and fears, whether voting by mail, voting early, or going to the polls.  Suzanne Schlossberg Senior Staff Attorney, ACLUM, and Celia Canavan, Executive Director, League of Women Voters, Massachusetts are featured in this segment.
